Daily subscriptions have dropped from $11 to $2; CityCycle remains the cheapest form of public transport in Brisbane. No helmet? No worries!
Brisbane City Council, in cooperation with JCDecaux, is excited to announce the trial of courtesy helmets attached to CityCycle bikes across the network.
With up to 400 courtesy helmets available, you can spontaneously enjoy CityCycle without having to carry your own helmet. Please make sure you re-attach the helmet at the end of your ride. Don't spoil the fun for others.
Have your own helmet? No problem. Just place the courtesy helmet in your basket and re-attach it at the end of your ride.
Express card: 3 easy steps and you're away!
Long-term subscribers no longer have to wait for a classic card to arrive in the mail. Simply pick up an express card free of charge from any of our distribution points. You are only 3 quick steps away from riding away:
- Grab an Express Card and subscribe online for an annual or a 3-month subscription.
- Get your PIN, Subscription Number and a Link Number.
- Visit your nearest CityCycle station and follow the prompts on the terminal to activate your card.
Now just grab a helmet and start riding.

Subscribing on the go is now a reality! Our new web mobile site is available on all smart phones. Perfect for users on the go or without access to a PC. Combine web-mobile with an express card and you can quickly subscribe and start CityCycling today!
