CityCycle Launches New Stations!

Over the past two weeks, six new CityCycle stations with 119 bike racks have opened across Brisbane’s inner city. This increases the number of operating stations across the network to 57 stations.

Brisbane's public bike hire scheme. Launching 1 October 2010.

CityCycle is a world class public bike hire scheme offering a healthy and cost-effective transport option for residents and visitors of Brisbane to travel around the inner-city.

Use CityCycle to travel to meetings, commute to work or university, meet friends for lunch in South Bank, or go to the shops for groceries.

A new and sustainable public transport option to reduce inner city congestion, CityCycle is a Brisbane City Council initiative, delivered and operated by JCDecaux Australia.

CityCycle roving trials announced

Brisbane residents will be able to get a close up look at the Brisbane City Council’s CityCycles through a series of free public bike trials this month in key city and inner-city locations.

People will have the opportunity to take the bikes for a spin within a designated area and talk to Council ‘bike buddies’ who will be on hand to answer any questions.
